Sun Country has just announced new nonstop routes between St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (PIE) and Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. The service is set to begin on November 21, 2021 and fares will run as low as $79 one way.
“With more and more people excited to resume traveling, we’re excited to be able to offer them another option to get away this winter to enjoy the Sunshine State,” said Sun Country Airlines Chief Revenue Officer Grant Whitney. “We’re know there is pent-up demand for convenient, affordable travel, and we’re here to help folks enjoy the vacations they’ve been dreaming about.”
Experience all that Minneapolis has to offer
When in Minneapolis you can explore the 193 acre Minnehaha Park that features a 53-foot-tall waterfall, the 19-acre Minneapolis sculpture garden, bike over the Grand Rounds Scenic Byway, or walk through Milk Ruins Park and the Stone Archway.

New routes from PIE to Arkansas and New Hampshire
Allegiant has new routes to Portsmouth, NH beginning in June and Little Rock, AR beginning in May. PIE also has charter flights to Gulfport-Biloxi on Sun Country Airlines for the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino.
PIE’s March Domestic traffic increased by 23% over 2020 when our first flight cancellation due to the pandemic occurred on March 17, 2020. Comparing to pre-pandemic passenger traffic, March 2021 was down 25% over one of our busiest on record, March 2019.
