Chocolate meets pasta in a legendary dish at Luca’s Ristorante in Somerset, N.J. The Agnolotti was ranked one of the top Italian dishes in N.J. by our NJ.com foodies. So, of course, we had to try it for our latest series, N.J. Takeout Stakeout, which highlights great to-go dishes across the state.
The delicate cocoa pasta is stuffed with butternut squash and topped off with a lightly creamy herb sauce. It’s a wonderful balance of sweet and savory with pops of crunch from the roasted pumpkin seeds. One taste and you’ll immediately understand why this dish is a long-time customer favorite. Chef Andrea Di Meglio makes the cocoa pasta fresh, in-house. It’s truly a labor of love.
