"We couldn't have done it without the people that come in and see us every day." Hundreds of pounds of homemade pasta and scratch bread are made at the store on Lexington Road each week. The business started in 1982 with these staples and since then, Hale said it's grown."We've sort of gone from customer requests as they've come in and said 'Hey can you get this? or would you like to sell that?' and so we did," said Hale.The store expanded to carrying oils, cheeses, specialty foods and items from around the world. Hale said as food trends changed, they adjusted. That was no exception during the COVID-19 pandemic.She said customers depended on the store to stock up on deli items, frozen meals and shelf staples."Everybody was home and you learn to cook or wanted to cook to have dinners," said Hale. "We learned to package things to keep it safer and neater and cleaner for people."Lotsa Pasta's storewide sale is March 23rd. It runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in-store and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. online.Store capacity will be limited.
