DEXTER, MI -- Zingerman’s Cornman Farms is hosting its fifth annual Pie & Mash pop-up, where customers can purchase homemade, savory pies each week.

Chef Kieron Hales will take over the farmhouse every Wednesday, starting March 3, to cook his “nostalgic comfort food” that he picked up in London. He will offer a different savory pie each week, ranging from from beef and onion to chicken tikka masala. Pies are served with creamy mashed potatoes, a seasonal vegetable and Hales’ Devon fudge, a recipe from his hometown.

“I started cooking in high-end restaurants in London at 13 and was making almost no money, so I would frequent the local pie and mash shop for an affordable and delicious meal. To this day it is one of my favorite dishes to eat and to make at home,” Hales said in a statement.

The shop will be open from 4:30-7 p.m. every Wednesday in March. Guests must order online in advance and can either pick up or dine in at 8540 Island Lake Road in Dexter. Each meal is $19.
