NORTHFIELD — St. Patrick’s Church is now accepting orders for its inaugural homemade pie sale to raise money for church programs and expenses.
Organizer Tonia King said all orders must be received by Tuesday, Nov. 17. Interested parties can call Phyllis at 413-648-5313 and leave a message with their order. All calls and orders will be confirmed.
“All the pies are homemade by church members,” King noted.
The 9-inch pies, offered in apple or pumpkin varieties, are $12 each. Pick-up will be held Saturday, Nov. 21, from 5 to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 22, from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, 80 Main St.
King said this is the first year the church is holding a pie sale as a fundraising effort. The idea came about in part because the pandemic has made it so that church members are unable to hold their regular community suppers — although the church did organize a drive-thru version of its annual German Pork Roast Supper last month.
“We’re trying to get into the whole drive-thru grab-and-go thing,” King added.
