NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Earlier this month, James Beard award-winning Chef Nina Compton and partner/husband Larry Miller reopened their flagship restaurant Compère Lapin at the Old No. 77 Hotel, offering the same robust dishes that have garnered national acclaim since opening in 2015. Now, the dynamic duo is announcing the launch of Pasta Takeover this Wednesday, Nov. 18; and a Boozy Brunch To-Go this this Saturday, Nov. 21.
Each Wednesday, from 5:30 P.M. – close, guests are invited to Compère Lapin for Pasta Takeover – an evening of elevated pasta dishes all made in-house. Starting at $15, the weekly pasta-themed dinner will feature inventive seasonal fare such as goat Bolognese cavatelli; pappardelle with butternut squash and sage brown butter; biscuit gnocchi fonduta with black truffle and Brussels sprouts; spätzle with roasted pork belly; and scialatielli with shrimp and rundown sauce – all served with house-made focaccia. This Saturday only, Nov. 21, at Compère Lapin, Chef Nina and Compton and husband/partner Larry Miller will be offering guests a boozy brunch to-go. Delectable offerings include buttermilk biscuits; e’rything bagel – tuna tartare, Calabrian crema; ham & cheese/plain croissants; guava pastelitos; brioche egg sandwich and banana bread, among other treats. Priced at $12, boozy libations on offer include Bloody Marys; Mimosas; Brandy Milk Punch (bottled); Brunch Punch; and Frozen Daquiris. Preorders are strongly encouraged but walk ins welcome.
