TULSA, Okla. -
A nonprofit came through Tulsa Tuesday night to provide a hot meal to the unseen faces behind Tulsa’s Police Department.
Volunteers with “Steaks for Sheepdogs” came by the lodge for Tulsa’s Fraternal Order of Police to serve dispatchers a steak dinner. Organizers said dispatchers often don’t get the recognition they deserve because of their behind-the-scenes role.
“The reason why we do this is there’s a constant need all across the country for community,” Joe Wilson with Steaks for Sheepdogs said. “So our way to build community is by feeding people a top-notch ribeye steak.”
