Back in early March, when the realities of the coronavirus pandemic were just starting to become apparent, I was in the middle of updating a list of where to eat lunch in the Loop. One place I couldn’t wait to add was U.B. Dogs (185 N. Franklin St.), a stellar hot dog joint that had recently reopened after shutting down in 2018. Along with serving a flawless fully loaded Chicago hot dog, the shop dished out freshly grilled burgers and great fries.
