Kandi Burruss from Real Housewives of Atlanta has opened a new restaurant in Atlanta called Blaze Steak & Seafood Restaurant. The eatery’s opening was officially announced by the reality TV star’s husband, Todd Tucker, via Instagram. Both Kandi and Todd wanted to provide their community with a unique restaurant and they successfully accomplished their goal.

Todd’s Instagram caption explains that his peers always questioned why they didn’t have certain restaurants in their Atlanta community. In order to remedy the problem, Todd decided to take matters into his own hands by opening a restaurant with Kandi. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star owns two other restaurants in Atlanta. It’s commendable that Kandi was able to open a third restaurant during these difficult economic times, but she didn’t do it without assistance. Kandi Burruss was able to use government funding to financially support the new venture.

The opening of Blaze Steak & Seafood restaurant was made public on Instagram, but fans are wondering if and when the restaurant will appear on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. According to All About The Tea, Kandi and Todd’s latest venture will appear in the new season. What may not appear in the new season is how the couple was able to finance the new dining establishment.

Kandi and Todd own two other restaurants in Atlanta: Old Lady Gang and Old Lady Gang II. This Real Housewives of Atlanta couple accepted PPP loans from the U.S. government, which are meant to help small businesses that have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Both of their restaurants received PPP loans between $150,000 and $350,000. This happened despite the fact that Kandi’s net worth is $30 million. The loans were approved on April 29 and the funds came from TruFund Financial Services. Below is a picture of the Real Housewives of Atlanta couple who made Blaze Steak & Seafood Restaurant happen.

Without the PPP loans from the U.S. government, Kandi and Todd likely wouldn’t have been able to open the new restaurant in Atlanta. Some feel that the Real Housewives of Atlanta couple shouldn’t have been entitled to the loans given their wealthy status. While this may be true, others think that they gave back to their community, which is the right thing to do with money, status and power.
