CLEVELAND, Ohio – To create the perfect baseball TV viewing ambiance at home during the coronavirus-shortened Cleveland Indians season, you’ll need hot dogs, peanuts and Cracker Jacks, plus your favorite beverage. But a trip to the cooler at your neighborhood grocery store can be overwhelming with all the brands of hot dogs available.
We can help you with that in time for tonight’s Indians season opener and throughout the 60-game Major League Baseball season.
To determine which hot dog brand was a grand slam with aficionados, nearly 20 taste-testers visited cleveland.com’s office in 2017 to participate in a blind taste test of 18 brands we purchased from several grocery stores.
They ranked all-beef hot dogs from worst to best. Find out which hot dogs made the grade -- and which are better not to waste your money on.
Check out the rankings as you get ready for the opening pitch.
