Rockland — The Rockland Planning Board approved a hot dog cart and a lobster trap making business for the South End.
The board met July 21 and approved the application by John Bridges for a hot dog cart —J.J.'s Schooner Dogs — at 75 Mechanic St. Bridges, of Warren, plans to open the 64-quare-foot hot dog cart at Sharp's Point South within a week, according to the application.
The board also approved Thomas Groth's application to build new lobster traps at 149 Pleasant St., more specifically at the intersection of Pleasant Street Extension.
The application did not state when the business would start. The trap making will take place in a 288-square-foot building on the property.
