Naifeh's Steak House closing its doors for good - KXII

DURANT, Okla. (KXII) - A Durant steakhouse in business for more than half a century has closed its doors for good.

The Choctaw Nation will not be renewing the lease for Naifeh’s Steak House, located across from the casino, because of future development of that property.

The restaurant has been at the location for 12 years, and has been serving hungry mouths in Durant since 1967.

Naifeh’s posted to Facebook on Wednesday thanking all of their employees for their hard work, and also said “Not saying we won’t be back in some way, but it’s time to turn this page.”

It’s with a heavy heart I have to tell you that after 53 wonderful years, Naifehs Steak House is closed. The Choctaw...
