Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest takes place each summer at Coney Island, New York. Participants have 10 minutes to finish as many hot dogs as possible, with the top man and woman receiving the coveted Mustard Belt. Over the years, the contest became popular, and is now shown on the ESPN network.
The also competition changed over time. Men and women now compete separately, but were once combined. The time limit became shorter, dropping most recently from 12 to 10 minutes.
