I don't know about you, but the closest I typically get to baking a pie at any given moment is unwrapping a fresh Apple Pie Kit Kat or pulling up to the McDonald's drive-thru to get myself one. That said, even I will be pulling out my pie pan this week because Disney has shared an iconic apple pie recipe that will comfort you instantly.
As they've been doing pretty much the whole time the parks have been closed, Disney shared the recipe on its blog this weekend alongside a delicious looking photo. This particular Disney apple pie is served at the Whispering Canyon Café at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. It fits in perfectly with the resort's rustic theme and just general coziness.
One of the best parts about this pie, besides how good it tastes, is that you probably have the bulk of the ingredients at home. There are about a dozen ingredients, but I bet you can take a wild guess at most of them. Yeah, if you have sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt laying around, you are already pretty much halfway to making this pie! As a reminder, this recipe has been converted from a larger quantity in the restaurant kitchens. The flavor profile may vary from the restaurant’s version, but is still bound to be pretty delicious.
